Our Dutch for Adults program are language classes for adults. Our courses are divided into Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. These courses correspond with ERK-levels A0 up to B2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We use the books De Delftse Methode and Zichtbaar Nederlands, as well as other materials the teacher wants to use. This is an all-rounded language course: our courses mainly focus on reading and speaking skills, but we do practice writing and listening as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All courses run from September through May and follow a format of ‘3 classes on and one class off’. All classes are online, but our team will plan several informal meetings to encourage students to meet with each other and practice their Dutch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our course syllabus is created on Notion, which is easy to use. All students will have access to Zoom, course materials, personalized homework exercises and additional materials through here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are working towards obtaining the CNaVT certificate, please let your teacher know beforehand. We frequently have students participate in these exams level A2 through B2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The online lessons<\/mark> are provided at the following levels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Basic I <\/strong>with Larry Monster on Saturday OR Sunday from 9:30-11:30am <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Course details<\/strong>:<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Basic Dutch level I<\/strong> (A0-A1)<\/strong> is a beginners\u2019 course and open to anyone. No prior knowledge of the Dutch language is required. At A1 level Dutch, you\u2019ll build the foundation of the language: learning to understand and use simple phrases, introduce yourself, and manage everyday situations with confidence. The Advanced Dutch I (B1-B2)<\/strong> is open to anyone who participated in our Intermediate II class, or for anyone who has gone through the most important grammar of the language and is able to talk about unfamiliar topics. This course will focus on using Dutch confidently and naturally. At the end of this course you will be able to join more complex discussions, give detailed opinions, and understand the main idea of longer conversations spoken in a fluent pace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Advanced Dutch II (B2)<\/strong> is open to anyone who participated in our Advanced I class, or for anyone who is comfortable with everything up to the B2 level. This level will focus on the fluency and expansion of vocabulary. After this course you will be able to feel confident in joining conversations and discussions about various (un)familiar topics and are able to speak in a structured way.

The Basic Dutch level II (A1-A2)<\/strong> is open to anyone who participated in our Basic I class, or for anyone having a basic understanding of Dutch. At A2 level Dutch, you\u2019ll strengthen your foundation and start expressing yourself more freely. You can talk about your daily life, share opinions in simple ways, and understand conversations about familiar topics.
The Intermediate Dutch I (A2<\/strong>\u2013B1<\/strong>) is open to anyone who participated in our Basic II class, or for anyone who is comfortable with A2 level Dutch, meaning you are able to talk about everyday topics, share basic opinions, and following straightforward conversations. At this level, you\u2019ll move beyond the basics and learn to express yourself clearly in everyday situations. You can describe experiences, connect ideas, give your opinion in more detail, and take part in longer conversations.
The Intermediate Dutch II (B1)<\/strong> is open to anyone who participated in our Intermediate I class, or for anyone who is comfortable independently using Dutch in their daily lives. At this level you\u2019ll gain a deeper understanding of more complex grammar that will enable you to use more complex Dutch in everyday situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Advanced Dutch + (B2-C1)<\/strong> is open to anyone who participated in our Advanced II class, or for anyone who has passed a B2 exam. This level will also focus on the fluency and expansion of vocabulary. At the end of this course you will be able to express yourself fluently and spontaneously, as well as use the language effectively and flexibly in social, academic and professional contexts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
